About The Position

The Systems Administrator supports the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and reliability of USIC’s enterprise infrastructure environment. This role is responsible for executing core administrative tasks across servers, cloud environments, and end-user systems while partnering with senior engineers, cybersecurity, and application teams. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role ideal for someone looking to grow within an enterprise IT environment while contributing to systems that directly support business operations.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in IT support or systems administration
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
• Experience working in a ticketing system (Zendesk, Jira, etc.)
• Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills
• Ability to explain technical concepts to inexperienced users
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to solve problems in stressful situations

Responsibilities

• Installing, patching, and upgrading server operating systems (Windows/Linux) and software applications.
• Creating, maintaining, and removing user accounts, permissions, and security groups in Active Directory or Azure AD.
• Monitoring system logs, performance metrics, and network connectivity to ensure uptime.
• Executing scheduled data backups, verifying data integrity, and performing restores when needed.
• Respond to and resolve infrastructure-related tickets and incidents
• Supporting and collaborating with senior engineers
