About The Position

SAIC is seeking a Systems Administrator to support a customer in Arnold, Missouri. The role administers Linux and Windows systems, including upgrades, repairs, troubleshooting, backups and recovery, software installation, security patching, and system security. The administrator also manages Active Directory, DNS, accounts, access, and group policies; maintains hardware and software inventories and system problem and downtime logs; supports system accreditation; and submits infrastructure provisioning requirements through Service+ for fulfillment by the UDS contractor.

Requirements

Active TS/SCI clearance is required for consideration.
Must be able and willing to obtain a polygraph.
Knowledge of the Linux operating system.
Experience with Windows administration, including Active Directory, Windows hardening per DISA STIG or equivalent, PowerShell scripting, local Group Policy updates and management, user and group management, and Windows file shares.
Knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) or cloud architecture, including Amazon EC2 and creating or updating Amazon Machine Images; Amazon S3 bucket policies and VPC endpoints; AWS Lambda; Amazon CloudWatch; Amazon VPC security groups and subnets; and AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM).

Responsibilities

Perform full system upgrades and repairs for Linux and Windows systems.
Troubleshoot and repair operating system and hardware issues.
Perform daily and weekly system backups and recovery, and maintain logs of system problems, errors, failures, and downtime metrics.
Maintain hardware and software inventory lists.
Install software releases and upgrades.
Evaluate and install security patches.
Create and ensure the operation of Active Directory and DNS.
Create accounts and configure user-specific access while maintaining group policies and procedures.
Acquire system accreditation and ensure personnel comply with system security policies.
Submit requirements through Service+ for compute, storage, database, SharePoint, or Tableau infrastructure provisioning to be fulfilled by the UDS contractor.
