About The Position

I2X Technologies is a reputable technology services company providing services to the Federal Government, focusing on areas like space exploration, national security, cyber security, and cutting-edge engineering applications. The company offers long-term growth and development, with programs across the country and in over 20 states, supporting multiple Federal agencies and the Department of Defense, often with a focus on government space initiatives. I2X Technologies is seeking a Systems Administrator to support ongoing activities for a customer in Colorado Springs, CO. This position is on-site and requires an active Secret clearance, with a Top Secret clearance preferred.

Requirements

  • 5 years of professional experience with a Bachelor's degree; additional experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Active Secret clearance
  • Sec+ certification
  • RHEL, Linux, Windows, Solaris, Unix administration
  • Bash, PowerShell, or Python scripting
  • Configuration tools, especially Ansible
  • Virtualization experience
  • System Hardening / STIG Compliance / GPOs
  • Virtualized environment support
  • Backup Solutions
  • ACAS
  • Cross-Domain Solution Implementation and Management
  • Ability to apply Operating System and antivirus updates and patching/updates
  • Exceptional troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge and experience with satellite communications technology architecture
  • US Citizenship is required

Responsibilities

  • Maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators
  • Responsible for administration and maintenance of Red Hat Linux servers
  • Install and configure Red Hat Linux / Windows / Solaris operating systems
  • Ensure compliance with computer security policy, Risk Management Framework (RMF)
  • Set up administrator and service accounts
  • Maintain system documentation
  • Tune system performance
  • Install system wide software and allocate mass storage space
  • Interact with users and evaluates vendor products
  • Make recommendations to purchase hardware and software
  • Coordinate installation and provides backup recovery
  • Develop and monitor policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources
  • Apply monthly operating system/COTS updates/patches
  • Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations
  • Monitor and problem resolution for all the client/server/storage/network devices for the program
