About The Position

CACI has an exciting and immediate opportunity for a Systems Administrator to support the Federal Protective Service (FPS) located at the Denver MegaCenter. This role requires a strong technical background and excellent communication skills to interface with the government client, users, administrators, managers, and peer engineers. The Systems Administrator is responsible for maintaining and managing the Windows server environment, including various technical projects. This includes engineering, installing, maintaining, configuring, and optimizing Microsoft workstation and server operating systems such as Windows Server 2016 and 10. The position involves performing analysis for collaboration of network/system needs and participating in planning, designing, upgrading, and deploying enterprise datacenter hardware and software using a project-based timeline. Security is paramount, requiring the application of appropriate security measures to safeguard government systems by implementing industry-standard best practices and FPS-mandated mitigations. Support includes the distribution of security patches throughout the enterprise using Microsoft Systems Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and other enterprise-level tools. Additionally, the role supports the administration of Microsoft SQL databases, Veritas Backup Exec backups, and virtual servers using Nutanix. Documentation of standard operating procedures (SOP), work instructions, guides, diagrams, and knowledge base articles is also a key responsibility.

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain DoD security clearance
  • Ability to obtain a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Entry on Duty (EOD)
  • Bachelor's Degree + 8 years of relevant experience, or 14 years without a degree
  • Microsoft MCP/MCSA/MCSE Certification
  • Any of the following certifications: A+, Network+, and/or Security+ CE
  • Experience in the administration of Microsoft Windows 10 and Server 2016 (updating and patching)
  • Knowledge of basic networking
  • Experience in the administration of: Microsoft Active Directory (create user accounts, manage groups/permissions/access)
  • Experience in the administration of: Microsoft SQL 2016 databases (log shipping, event management, cluster management)
  • Experience in the administration of: SCCM (reports, patching, updates)
  • Experience in the administration of: Virtualization (build and maintain Windows Server virtual machines) running on a hyper-converged infrastructure (Nutanix)
  • Experience with various Backup applications
  • Ability to document all work and updates in Service Now
  • Ability to document standard operating procedures (SOP), work instructions, guides, network diagrams, knowledge base articles
