About The Position
Falls Technology is hiring a Systems Administrator to support Linux and Windows systems in a mission-critical environment. The role is on-site in the Reston, Virginia area and requires active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph and U.S. citizenship. The position is full-time, with one opening. It does not involve travel, shift work, weekends, or on-call duties. The Systems Administrator provides Tier 1 and Tier 2 enterprise support, administers collaboration tools, and troubleshoots and recovers damaged, encrypted, or non-standard storage devices. The role also works across functional teams and requires the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical audiences. Falls Technology describes the team as small and senior, where individual contributions are visible. The company offers a 9% retirement contribution.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Systems administration experience, including Tier 1 and Tier 2 enterprise support.
- Linux and Windows administration experience.
- Scripting experience in PowerShell, Bash, Python, Perl, or a similar language.
- Digital forensics or storage recovery experience.
- Knowledge of NTFS, FAT/exFAT, ext3/ext4, XFS, and Btrfs file systems; RAID and disk management; MBR/GPT partitioning; SATA, SAS, NVMe, and USB storage interfaces; and LUKS-encrypted file systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
