About The Position
Falls Technology is seeking a Systems Administrator to support a mission-critical environment in the Reston, Virginia area. The role involves Linux and Windows systems administration, Tier 1 and Tier 2 enterprise support, storage troubleshooting and recovery, and administration of collaboration tools. The position is on-site and full-time, with no travel, shift work, weekends, or on-call duties. One opening is available. Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph and U.S. citizenship are required.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Systems administration experience, including Tier 1 and Tier 2 enterprise support.
- Linux and Windows administration experience.
- Scripting experience in PowerShell, Bash, Python, Perl, or similar.
- Digital forensics or storage recovery experience.
- Knowledge of NTFS, FAT/exFAT, ext3/ext4, XFS, and Btrfs file systems; RAID and disk management; MBR/GPT partitioning; SATA, SAS, NVMe, and USB storage interfaces; and LUKS-encrypted file systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience supporting mission-critical environments.
Responsibilities
- Administer Linux and Windows systems and provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 enterprise support.
- Troubleshoot and recover damaged, encrypted, or non-standard storage devices.
- Administer collaboration tools.
- Work across functional teams and explain technical issues to non-technical people.
