About The Position

This position is for a Mid-Level Systems Administrator requiring a Final DoD Top Secret Clearance. The role is strictly on-site in Patuxent River, MD, with no telework options. The company, CRL, offers a signing bonus and potential relocation assistance. The primary responsibilities involve planning, building, administering, and maintaining SAP information systems using technologies like virtualization, VDI, Linux, Windows, and Splunk, adhering to Joint SAP Implementation Guide (JSIG) and Risk Management Framework (RMF) standards. The administrator will ensure system security, availability, and authority to operate, along with preparing and maintaining necessary documentation. Communication with the IT team and management regarding issues and resolutions is key. The role also includes configuring networking equipment (switches, routers, firewalls), assessing and planning configuration changes, and participating in change control and configuration management processes. Additionally, responsibilities may include acting as a Data Transfer Agent (DTA) using Assured File Transfer (AFT) procedures and assisting with COMSEC keying material management and NSA-approved Type 1 encryption device administration.

Requirements

A Final DoD Top Secret Clearance.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience performing the duties described in this position description.
Meet IAT II certification requirements (provide certifications) or obtain certifications no later than six months after position acceptance, in accordance with DoD 8570.01M, DoD 8140, and DoD 5239.2.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Linux and windows systems.
Knowledge of Virtualization platforms such as VMWare or Openshift.
Experience with Virtual Desktop Infrastructure.
Knowledge of Atlassian products, such as Jira or Confluence.
Experience with Networking products such as Cisco and F5.

Responsibilities

Plan, build, administer, and maintain SAP information systems utilizing technologies such as virtualization, virtual desktop infrastructure, Linux, Windows, and Splunk in accordance with the Joint SAP Implementation Guide (JSIG) and Risk Management Framework (RMF).
Ensure information systems are secure, available, and able to obtain and maintain authority to operate.
Prepare and maintain documentation required to secure, operate, and maintain information systems.
Communicate with the information technology (IT) team and management to ensure awareness of issues and plans to resolve them.
Configure networking equipment such as switches, routers, and firewalls.
Assess proposed configuration changes to information systems and develop plans for implementing changes.
Participate in the change control and configuration management processes, ensuring configuration changes are appropriately documented and implemented.
Act as Data Transfer Agents (DTA) utilizing approved Assured File Transfer (AFT) procedures.
Assist with the management of COMSEC keying material and equipment for multiple locations and configure and administer NSA approved Type 1 encryption devices in accordance with applicable policies and guidelines.
