About The Position

We are seeking a hands-on Systems Administrator to support and maintain a hybrid infrastructure environment spanning AWS, virtualized systems, and SolarWinds deployment infrastructure. This role is focused on day-to-day operations—ensuring systems are secure, stable, and performing reliably through proactive maintenance, monitoring, and issue resolution. The ideal candidate is highly execution-oriented, comfortable working across cloud and on-prem environments, and thrives in a fast-paced operational setting.

Requirements

  • 3–6+ years of systems administration or infrastructure support experience
  • Hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, VPC, IAM, etc.)
  • Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V
  • Experience supporting SolarWinds infrastructure in an operational environment
  • Strong Windows Server and/or Linux administration skills
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, firewalls)
  • Experience with scripting (PowerShell, Python, or Bash)
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and respond effectively to operational issues

Nice To Haves

  • AWS certification (SysOps Administrator or Solutions Architect)
  • Experience with backup and disaster recovery processes
  • Familiarity with SQL Server or database systems supporting infrastructure tools
  • Experience in hybrid cloud/on-prem environments
  • Exposure to automation or configuration management tools

Responsibilities

  • Administer and support AWS services including EC2, S3, VPC, and IAM
  • Provision, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot cloud-based systems
  • Administer VMware, Hyper-V, or similar virtual machine environments
  • Manage Windows and Linux servers, including patching, updates, and system health checks
  • Support and maintain SolarWinds deployment infrastructure (pollers, web servers, and supporting components)
  • Perform installations, upgrades, patching, and routine maintenance across all systems
  • Monitor infrastructure health and respond to alerts, incidents, and service requests
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across cloud, server, and monitoring platforms
  • Maintain system access, backups, and operational stability
  • Document configurations, procedures, and support activities
  • Participate in on-call rotation and scheduled after-hours maintenance
