About The Position

The Systems Administrator supports ISCorp’s secure private cloud infrastructure and application hosting environments. This position is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and monitoring of systems that support ISCorp’s hosted services and internal operations. The Systems Administrator ensures the reliability, performance, and security of systems while providing exceptional customer service to both internal users and external clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience administering Windows-based systems in enterprise environments.
  • Proficiency with Active Directory, Group Policy, and Windows Server administration.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server management and backup/restore procedures.
  • Strong understanding of virtualization and application hosting technologies (VMware, HyperV, Citrix, RDS).
  • Familiarity with scripting and automation tools (PowerShell, VBScript).
  • Strong documentation, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Linux administration or hybrid Windows/Linux environments.
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
  • Familiarity with enterprise firewall and backup systems.
  • Experience with ERP software management or database platforms (Progress, MySQL, Oracle).
  • Exposure to project management practices or ITIL-based service frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain Windows Server and desktop operating systems across production and development environments.
  • Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, and related identity services.
  • Support and maintain Microsoft SQL Server environments and database operations.
  • Configure and manage virtualization technologies including VMware, Citrix, and Remote Desktop Services.
  • Deploy, monitor, and maintain application servers (IIS, Tomcat, and related web technologies).
  • Implement and maintain information security best practices, monitoring, and documentation.
  • Perform system scripting and automation using PowerShell, VBScript, or command-line tools.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system, network, and application issues.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation for systems, configurations, and processes.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and respond to system alerts as needed.
