About The Position

Tailored Access, a GRVTY Company, is seeking Systems Administrators to support Department of Defense/IC missions at Fort Meade, MD. This role involves Linux Systems Administration for IC missions vital to national security. GRVTY believes that the toughest national security challenges require vision and ingenuity. Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI with polygraph (polygraph must be within last 6 years)
  • 10 years of systems administration experience OR technical bachelor's degree + 5 years of systems administration experience
  • Linux command line system administration (CentOS, RedHat, Amazon Linux, or equivalent)
  • Experience applying system updates via yum or equivalent patching repository

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working within a cloud environment (Amazon AWS, Azure, or equivalent cloud infrastructure with virtual machines)
  • Experience or knowledge of RedSeal Network Mapping tool
  • Knowledge of software deployed on systems (Elasticsearch, Docker, Kubernetes, NiFi)
  • Syslog/NxLog
  • Nagios or other similar monitoring applications
  • Scripting experience (Python/Perl)

Responsibilities

  • Creates, and maintains RedHat Linux virtual machines running in a cloud infrastructure (Amazon AWS).
  • Evaluates systems for IAVA compliance and applies necessary security updates/patches.
  • Performs command line system administration tasks on virtual machines.
  • Handles regular system backups and periodically tests backups for functionality.
  • Communicates with developers and dev ops team members to provide system administration support.
  • Apply patches and upgrades.
  • Troubleshoot server issues.
  • Administer customer accounts
  • Deploy monitoring tools.
  • Deploy applications and tools.
  • Assist with escalated customer tickets.
  • Installation and cabling of equipment
