Iron Oak Energy is looking for a dynamic Systems Administrator who will have a positive impact on the Information Technology team at it’s The Woodlands, TX. Corporate office location. The Systems Administrator will be hands-on, setup and maintain and support systems which include Microsoft tools and technologies. This will include both on-premise and Azure cloud environments. This role will be required to have excellent interpersonal skills, customer service, as well as provide IT governance and change management. The individual will be engaged in both project and day to day troubleshooting of systems. The right candidate will be a team player and collaborate with fellow team members.

Requirements

Bachelor s Degree in Information Technology or related field required.
Certification in one of the areas, Microsoft Azure Admin, VMWare Certified or equivalent, CCNA or CompTIA Security+.
3-5 years of experience in previous IT role focusing on Microsoft Azure, VMWare, Windows Servers, Domain Controllers, InTune, MDT, Autopilot and/or SCCM.
Ability to multi-task, manage multiple internal customers and IT vendors.
Excellent organizational and communication skills (both oral and written).

Responsibilities

Complete project work related to systems migration, data center moves, setup, upgrades and administration as assigned by the IT Director.
Ensuring the smooth functioning of IT Systems and network. This includes: monitoring, diagnosis and resolution of system performance and security – including account access management.
Utilize scripting languages such as powershell to configure and/or modify systems.
Act as second level support for Service Desk personnel.
Responsible for managing IT incidents, resolution and communication to internal customers.
Prioritize IT incidents based on ITIL framework standards, send outage communications, prepare Change Requests and ensure approvals.
Take active role in CAB and keep team members informed of any system outages.
Administration of all on-premise and Azure cloud systems, workloads, security and configuration.
Prepare disaster recovery, backups and restore plans.
Test disaster recovery and backups based on set time frame to ensure resiliency and redundancy.
Manage IT vendors, review SOWs and ensure tasks are executed according to the IT standards and policies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
