  • Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and compliance frameworks applicable to educational institutions (FERPA, CIPA)
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues
  • Excellent communication skills–able to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical faculty and staff
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced school environment
  • Commitment to responsiveness, professionalism, and a customer-service approach to IT support

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with VoIP phone systems and/or physical security systems (cameras, card access)
  • Scripting ability in PowerShell, Python, or Bash for automation and systems management

Responsibilities

  • Administer, monitor, and maintain school servers, network infrastructure, storage systems, and cloud-based platforms (Google Workspace for Education, Microsoft 365, etc.)
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and directory services (Active Directory / Entra ID / IdP services) for students, faculty, and staff
  • Configure, deploy, and support endpoint devices including Windows and macOS workstations, Chromebooks, iPads, and A/V classroom technology
  • Assist with network infrastructure including switches, wireless access points, firewalls, VLANs, and IOT devices; troubleshoot connectivity issues across campus

  • Respond to and resolve help desk tickets escalated from tier-1 support; provide direct end- user support as needed
  • Assist the team with onboarding and offboarding processes — provisioning and decommissioning accounts and devices for students and employees
  • Assist with planning and executing technology upgrades, campus-wide rollouts, and infrastructure projects
  • Document systems configurations, procedures, and IT policies; maintain an up-to-date knowledge base
