About The Position

Kaimetrix is seeking System Administrator – Level IV professionals to provide senior-level leadership and technical oversight for enterprise IT infrastructure in a secure, mission-critical environment. This role is responsible for the full lifecycle management, sustainment, and security of systems, servers, and network resources, ensuring operational availability and compliance with DoD cybersecurity requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in system administration or related IT infrastructure roles demonstrating advanced proficiency
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Baseline cybersecurity certification such as CompTIA CASP+, CISSP, or equivalent advanced certification aligned to DoD requirements
  • Active Tier 3 (T3) background investigation or ability to obtain and maintain

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all system administration activities supporting enterprise servers, operating systems, and networked environments
  • Ensure continuous availability, performance, and reliability of systems through proactive monitoring, maintenance, and optimization
  • Administer user accounts, access controls, and permissions in accordance with security policies and least-privilege principles
  • Manage system configurations, patching, and upgrades to maintain compliance with established cybersecurity standards
  • Direct backup and recovery operations to ensure data integrity and system resilience
  • Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex system issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal operational impact
  • Develop, implement, and enforce standard operating procedures, maintenance plans, and system administration best practices
  • Oversee system security posture, ensuring adherence to applicable DoD cybersecurity controls and accreditation requirements
  • Coordinate system administration activities across teams and provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior personnel
  • Support infrastructure lifecycle management, including technology refresh, system upgrades, and capacity planning
  • Ensure systems provide secure and reliable access to mission users across all supported environments
