About The Position

The Systems Administrator contributes to the design, build, automation, administration, and ongoing support of systems infrastructure across on‑premises and cloud environments, helping ensure a secure, scalable, and reliable foundation for Moneris’ core payment platforms. This role manages infrastructure platforms using automation where possible, supports day‑to‑day operations, monitoring, platform currency, and capacity planning, and partners with infrastructure and development teams on business‑critical initiatives. Location: You will be based in our Toronto office, balancing in-office collaboration with remote flexibility. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in systems infrastructure administration, automation, design, or operations.
  • Experience administering Windows Server environments, including Active Directory and related enterprise services, across physical, virtual, and cloud platforms.
  • Experience with virtualization platforms, server hardware, storage, backup, monitoring, and performance tuning solutions.
  • Experience using scripting, automation, and orchestration tools such as PowerShell, Bash, Ansible, Python, Terraform, or ARM templates.
  • Working knowledge of infrastructure‑as‑code and configuration‑as‑code practices using Git‑based workflows.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with public cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and/or AWS.
  • Experience supporting payment processing or merchant acquiring systems.
  • Relevant Microsoft, VMware, or cloud certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, automate, administer, and maintain systems, servers, and infrastructure applications across physical, virtual, and cloud environments.
  • Operate infrastructure services including servers, containers, storage, data centers, and infrastructure applications to meet performance, availability, and scalability targets.
  • Support daily operations through service and change requests, incident investigation, remediation, troubleshooting, and proactive monitoring.
  • Manage platform currency, capacity planning, and reporting aligned with defined service level agreements.
  • Provide advanced technical support for escalated infrastructure incidents and problems.
  • Partner with storage, backup, virtualization, networking, security, and identity teams to deliver infrastructure solutions aligned to application requirements.
  • Engineer and support infrastructure solutions delivered through cross‑functional projects.
  • Own assigned infrastructure services, driving automation, standardization, and continuous improvement.
  • Define and maintain technology standards, processes, and policies for systems infrastructure.
  • Participate in a rotational on‑call schedule supporting 24/7 production environments.
