Requirements

  • BS / BA degree in business, information systems or related field preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 8+ years in networking with progression into cloud or platform environments.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF.
  • Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure networking.
  • Technical Stack: Networking: Cisco, Arista or equivalent
  • Cloud: AWS VPC, GCP VPC, Azure VNet
  • Automation: Terraform, Ansible, Python
  • Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, ELK
  • Work Management: Jira, ServiceNow, Confluence
  • Strong knowledge of SAN/storage architectures, Virtualization and Security
  • Technical knowledge of Windows/Unix/AIX/Linux/Solaris Server, Server, Networking (Cisco), VOIP, IIS, Active Directory, SQL Server, Oracle Database, and Virtualization
  • Experience configuring monitors using SNMP, SSH, WinRM, WMI, JMX and other technologies.
  • Familiar with configuration and administration of NetFlow Traffic Analyzer.
  • Experience monitoring a variety of end devices to include routers, switches, firewalls, Windows, Linux and UNIX servers.
  • Experience developing interactive maps with Network Atlas.
  • Experience configuring custom reports upon request from local customers.
  • Knowledge of database requirements and configuration of SolarWinds ORION applications.
  • Motivated self-starter with the ability to work on individual tasks, as well as team-oriented tasks.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Kubernetes networking, OpenStack or OpenShift, and network observability platforms.
  • Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or cloud networking certifications are a huge plus.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and operate network services as a scalable platform supporting hybrid cloud, private cloud, and enterprise environments.
  • Focus on automation, reliability, and standardization across LAN, WAN, and cloud networking.
  • Design network architectures across on-prem, private cloud, and public cloud environments.
  • Build standardized services including routing, segmentation, and connectivity.
  • Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Ansible, and Python.
  • Integrate network provisioning into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Define SLIs and SLOs.
  • Improve MTTD and MTTR through observability and alerting.
  • Utilize Jira, ServiceNow, and Confluence for execution, intake, and documentation.
  • Maintain runbooks and incident playbooks.
  • Implement VPC/VNet architectures, peering, VPN, and hybrid connectivity.
  • Implement segmentation, firewall policies, and zero-trust networking.
  • Supports multi-region hybrid infrastructure.
  • Drives standardization and reduces operational risk.
  • Enables application teams through automation and self-service capabilities.
  • Ability to plan and execute system and software installations upgrades and changes across the organization.

Benefits

  • Base Salary Range: $135,000-$150,000
