About The Position

Position Summary: Responsible for core and ancillary application support, network and core system user administration, network and core system user security, and administration of patch management program. Provide technical application support to all users and departments.

Requirements

  • Four-year degree in computer related field, or equivalent work experience, with a minimum of five years of experience in a similar capacity.
  • Intellectual and professional skills and experience necessary to perform tasks detailed above
  • Strong working knowledge of servers, desktop PCs, and laptops
  • Strong working knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory environment
  • Technical skills and knowledge necessary to service software applications
  • Initiative in recognizing and resolving problems
  • Effective prioritization of responsibilities
  • Proficiency in written and oral communication
  • Ability to interact positively and tactfully with coworkers and staff in team environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with vendors
  • Perform duties of the position with strict adherence to all bank policies
  • Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to all users within the bank, to ensure applications are functioning properly
  • Setup and upgrade applications on individual workstations
  • Install and configure application software on servers, in conjunction with the Chief Technology Officer, bank departments, and/or vendors
  • Assist in the implementation of controls developed as a result of the risk assessment process
  • Provide primary level support for all servers within the bank
  • Act as liaison with network vendor or other miscellaneous vendors regarding server performance issues
  • Maintain and administer server backups
  • Document and make corrections for system failures, including reporting reasons and corrective actions taken
  • Set up, maintain and delete network user accounts
  • Monitor network security reports
  • Maintain and administer antivirus and antispyware systems
  • Co-ordinate and perform annual review of core processor user menu access, in conjunction with appropriate department supervisors
  • Monitor core processor security reports
  • Monitor vendors and systems for available software patches and updates
  • Perform impact assessment (technical, business and security) of patches
  • Apply and test patches in test environment
  • Evaluate patch functionality and effectiveness
  • Co-ordinate application of patches in live production environment
  • Monitor applied patches for effectiveness
  • Provide Help Desk support, when necessary
  • Assist with daily maintenance and service for all hardware and software systems
  • Complete special projects arising from and relating to technology systems
  • Perform other duties relating to technology functions as may be required from time to time and requested by management
