About The Position

Join our team as a System Administrator II with our Clinic Infrastructure team!  You’ll play a critical role in supporting the continued success of our rapidly growing organization.  You’ll support our operations team in setting up and maintaining infrastructure for our new and existing practices.    This role will be based in one of our Home Office locations in Calgary or Vancouver.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years IT experience
  • A technology diploma, degree or recent practical certifications
  • Good understanding of Microsoft based infrastructure, i.e. AD, Entra ID, DHCP, Group Policy, DNS, Intune, O365, Azure environment etc. 
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft operating systems (Win 2019 plus, 10 & 11) 
  • Familiarity with Cisco Meraki environment administration and support 
  • Understanding of network print services and maintenance 
  • Familiarity with voice services & telephony technologies 
  • Scripting knowledge to automate and standardize 
  • Familiarity with PIPEDA, PHI, PII and HIPPA 
  • Familiarity with virtualization and cyber security technologies and methodologies 
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • A collaborative, adaptable, and proactive team player with a growth mindset, able to manage changing priorities effectively

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Optometry Optical Devices is considered an asset 
  • ITIL, MCP, VCP, CCNA Certifications is considered an asset
  • Knowledge of Linux, Unix & MacOS is considered an asset
  • Bilingualism English/French is considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Provide third-level operational support, including occasional after-hours on-call support on a rotational basis
  • Assist with the rollout of new practice locations, including providing care and coordination of patient medical information 
  • Assess infrastructure issues and develop solutions to improve the current environment while mitigating risk
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and diagnose clinic infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and connectivity
  • Perform installations, troubleshoot issues, and maintain thorough documentation
  • Work independently on operational tasks and collaboratively with team members to achieve objectives and complete projects
  • Develop and maintain best practices, standards, and procedures across the infrastructure and platforms
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and organizational goals
