About The Position

Leveraging Ericsson’s proven leadership in cellular, our long-term goal is to become the default choice and trusted partner for any organization’s wireless network infrastructure – with cellular as the entry point and zero trust security as a norm. The Systems Administrator II will join the Ericsson Enterprise Wireless IT Infrastructure Team, aiding in the planning, build-out, security and maintenance of the corporate infrastructure and facilities. Primary responsibilities include hardware and software support of onsite and offsite physical and virtual servers, operating system maintenance and support, application software maintenance and support, and some network infrastructure maintenance and support as needed. Additional responsibilities include coordinating with various departments to continuously design and implement improvements across our distributed IT infrastructure, supporting and enabling the organization’s business ventures. Secondary responsibilities include assisting engineering and operations teams with maintaining customer-facing services and applications. The successful candidate must be self-motivated, require minimal supervision, possess excellent analytical and communication skills, and be a team player with an “I Care” attitude. Occasional user support and periodic on-call duty including nights and weekends as required. This role will report to the Senior Manager of Infrastructure & Networks.

Requirements

  • A degree, equivalent diploma, or years of experience in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field of study
  • Relevant industry certifications including any of the following: AZ-104, AZ-800, AZ-801, AZ-900, VMware VCF or Proxmox VE
  • At least 6 years of experience in the systems administration field of Information Technology
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Server Ecosystem (2019 and higher)
  • Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, and similar core services.
  • PowerShell scripting
  • Experience working in cloud environments, with a focus on Microsoft Azure
  • Manage and maintain Azure infrastructure, including virtual machines, storage and associated resources
  • Azure EntraID directory management and policies
  • Experience managing SAN based storage devices, virtualization technologies including VMware, Microsoft Hyper-V and/or Proxmox
  • Experience with supporting SaaS applications and relevant configurations
  • Experience with basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, sub-netting, etc.), protocols, SAML based Single-Sign on applications and configurations
  • Comfortable in Debian-based Linux environments

Responsibilities

  • Implementation, and support onsite and offsite physical and virtual servers
  • Basic remote-hands support of onsite network hardware
  • Work with all departments to continuously design, implement, secure and improve systems
  • Monitor and update IT systems with the latest software patches and updates
  • Provide Tier II escalation support for the Ericsson Enterprise Wireless Corporate Help Desk
  • Utilize excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex technical issues
  • When needed assist with support of LAN and WAN infrastructure
  • When needed, assist our Engineering and Operations teams with maintaining customer-facing services and applications
  • Participate in a weeklong on-call rotation, which would include occasional user support and availability after normal business hours as required
