Requirements

  • Systems Administrator II: Degree from an accredited two-year college.
  • Six years of experience in an IT related fields with two years of experience as System Administrator.
  • Systems Administrator III: Degree from an accredited two-year college.
  • Eight years of experience in an IT related fields with four years of experience as System Administrator.
  • A valid driver's license is required for this position.
  • DHCP, DNS, SAN, Server Virtualization, Basic Network Knowledge, GPO administration, and PowerShell scripting.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot OS issues (event logs, service failure), manage GPO's for specific needs.
  • Assist in server builds and upgrades under guidance.
  • Troubleshoot 365 mail flow issues, manage retention and mailbox policies.
  • Bulk user changes via powershell or other automated tools.
  • Troubleshoot AD replication issues, manage delegated permissions and perform permission audits.
  • Provision VMs from templates, troubleshoot VM performance and manage snapshot and datestore usage.
  • Handle tickets escalated from Level 1, escalate complex issues to Level 3 with details notes.
  • Investigate security incidents, apply security patches and run periodic audits.
  • Mount LUNs provided by System Administrator III, validate multipathing configuration for Storage SAN.
  • Modify existing automation for new needs, automate routine tasks.
  • Architect server infrastructure, upgrade/migrate domains and OS versions.
  • Resolve kernel and driver-level issues.
  • Infrastructure capacity planning.
  • Design and manage multi-domain and/or forest structure.
  • Implement advanced security policies, security hardening and monitoring.
  • Manage trust and AD site topology.
  • Lead compliance audits.
  • M365 Hybrid migration planning, monitoring and maintenance.
  • Configuration and management of security and compliance features.
  • Integration of M365 with on-prem systems.
  • Design and manage multi-cluster virtualization environment, configure vDS, VLANS, HA/DRS rules.
  • Integrate with SANs of Fibre Channel, plan and implement zoning & LUN masking.
  • Troubleshoot SAN performance and coordinate firmware upgrades.
  • Design backup & DR strategy, optimize schedules for RPO/RTO.
  • Lead full-site recovery testing.
  • Implement and maintain advanced monitoring for all Infrastructure software and hardware.
  • Security hardening of infrastructure, collaborate with Security Engineer for compliance audits, testing and security exercises/training.
  • Act as final escalation point for tickets, lead resolution of critical incidents.
  • Provide lead mentoring to Level 1 and Level 2 staff.
  • Develop complex automation solutions, build monitoring and reporting tools.
