About The Position
Join CACI as the prime contractor on a growing program supporting NAVSEA 03D3 Digital Program Office as a Systems Administrator supporting the Navy Maintenance and Modernization Enterprise Solution (NMMES), a mission-critical program that supports over 45,000 users executing naval ship and submarine maintenance operations worldwide. This position offers an opportunity to begin a career in systems administration supporting critical Navy maintenance systems. The ideal candidate will combine technical aptitude with strong attention to detail and customer service skills. Note: Position supports NMMES software suite which includes both legacy software applications and current web application technologies running on multiple operating systems. This entry-level role provides an excellent opportunity to gain experience in systems administration while supporting mission-critical Navy systems. The position offers exposure to both legacy and modern technologies in a complex IT environment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Up to 7 years of experience in systems administration
- Basic knowledge of system administration principles
- Understanding of computer operating systems
- Basic troubleshooting skills
- Must be able to obtain and maintain required security clearances
- Must be willing to work occasional off-hours as needed
- Must maintain system security awareness
- Must follow established procedures
- Must be detail-oriented
Nice To Haves
- Experience with DoD/Navy systems
- Technical certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+)
- Knowledge of Windows and Linux systems
- Basic scripting abilities
- Understanding of system security principles
- Experience with help desk support
- Knowledge of backup and recovery procedures
Responsibilities
- Perform daily activities of configuration and operation of business systems
- Support mainframe, mini, or client/server based systems
- Optimize system operation and resource utilization
- Conduct basic system capacity analysis and planning
- Provide assistance to users in accessing and using business systems
- Perform system maintenance and updates
- Monitor system performance and availability
- Support backup and recovery operations
- Assist with user account management
- Help maintain system documentation
- Participate in system upgrades and implementations
- Support both legacy and modern systems
