About The Position

Seeking a highly skilled Systems Administrator / Engineer II to support mission-critical cyber and IT operations. This role requires a strong background in systems engineering, network architecture, and cybersecurity, with hands-on experience across cloud, physical, and virtual environments. The ideal candidate will serve as a technical subject matter expert (SME), supporting the design, configuration, automation, and optimization of enterprise systems and infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Network Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Management, or related field OR equivalent relevant experience
  • Minimum 7 years of experience as a Cyber SME, Systems Engineer, or Architect
  • Hands-on experience with Network design and configuration
  • Hands-on experience with Systems engineering and architecture
  • Hands-on experience with Automation and orchestration tools
  • Hands-on experience with Open-source technologies
  • Hands-on experience with Cloud, physical, and virtual environments
  • Must meet DoDM 8140.03 IAT II certification requirements
  • Active Top Secret (TS) with SCI eligibility required
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise IT systems and network architecture
  • Expertise in cybersecurity principles and secure system design
  • Proficiency in automation, scripting, and orchestration tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, mission-critical environments

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting DoD or federal government environments
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and modern infrastructure frameworks
  • Experience with containerization or virtualization technologies

Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and maintain enterprise network and system architectures
  • Serve as a Cyber SME supporting secure system design and implementation
  • Develop and implement automation and orchestration solutions to improve operational efficiency
  • Manage and support cloud, physical, and virtualized environments
  • Integrate and maintain open-source technologies and tools
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability
  • Support cybersecurity initiatives and ensure compliance with DoD standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support mission and operational requirements
  • Maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures
