About The Position

The Systems Administrator - Assigned serves as the primary onsite IT resource for a designated healthcare client. This individual works from the customer location on a full-time basis and acts as a trusted extension of both the client organization and Eakes. The role requires strong communication skills, a sense of urgency, independent decision-making, and the ability to deliver high-quality technical support and customer service in a healthcare environment.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of IT support experience in a help desk, service desk, desktop support, or managed services environment.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational, troubleshooting, and time-management skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, endpoint management, and common business applications.
  • Ability to prioritize competing requests and maintain a high level of responsiveness.
  • Ability to be a self-starter and work with a team
  • Exceptional customer service skills

  • Travel as necessary to customer locations
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience working in a healthcare or medical environment.
  • Experience supporting HIPAA-regulated organizations and handling sensitive information appropriately.
  • Experience working within an MSP environment.
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, or comparable certifications.
  • Experience supporting basic networking, wireless connectivity, and line-of-business applications.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a full-time onsite presence at the assigned customer location.
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day IT contact for customer staff and leadership.
  • Respond to technical issues with urgency and professionalism.
  • Provide support for desktops, laptops, printers, Microsoft 365, user accounts, and basic networking issues.
  • Document all work accurately within the ticketing system.
  • Communicate clearly with end users, customer leadership, vendors, and Eakes Managed IT staff.
  • Escalate issues to higher-level engineering resources when necessary.
  • Identify recurring issues and opportunities for operational improvement.
  • Participate in Eakes meetings, training events, and required team activities.
  • Assist with workstation deployments, application support, onboarding, offboarding, and routine IT maintenance.
