About The Position

Captivation Software is seeking a mid-level systems administrator with strong Linux experience. The role supports the company’s mission-focused engineering work by managing and maintaining systems and infrastructure, automating processes, and collaborating with development teams.

Requirements

• Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable polygraph; candidates must be U.S. citizens.
• Ten years of experience as a systems administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university, or five additional years of systems administrator experience in lieu of the degree.
• Direct hires only; candidates from third-party staffing or recruiting firms will not be considered.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and cloud environments.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
• Troubleshoot system issues and ensure high availability and performance.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize deployment strategies and resolve environment-related issues.
• Automate routine tasks using scripting and configuration management tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
• Ensure system security through firewalls, antivirus tools, and access controls.
• Maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Stay current with DevOps trends.
