About The Position

This position follows our hybrid workstyle policy: Expected to be in a Raymond James office location a minimum of 10-12 days a month. This role is not eligible for Work Visa sponsorship, either currently or in the future. The Systems Administration Analyst manages and maintains complex systems, performs implementations and upgrades in compliance with security guidelines, and ensures the availability, security, and integrity of assigned systems. They monitor systems, including setting alerts and monitoring error logs, and troubleshoot or escalate issues as needed. The role also involves evaluating and identifying ways to automate, streamline, and improve day-to-day maintenance and administrative practices, as well as installing or coordinating the installation of patches and releases. Ensuring adherence to Service Level Agreements regarding application availability is crucial. The analyst serves as a central point of contact and liaison to other IT departments and vendors for installations, server maintenance, licensing, and upgrade issues, effectively managing communication to solve problems quickly. They create and maintain accurate system run books, maintain documentation of application configuration, and assist in capacity planning, performance monitoring, and tuning. Participation in business continuity, disaster recovery planning, and project meetings supporting business objectives is also required.   • Effectively manages communication between end users, vendors, and IT departments to solve production, pre-production, test, and t environment problems quickly.
  • Creates and maintains accurate system run book for assigned systems.
  • Maintains current description and documentation of application configuration, including tracking and documenting any changes to environments.
  • Assists in capacity planning, performance monitoring and tuning on assigned systems.
  • Participates in business continuity and disaster recovery planning, including assisting with fault tolerance and disaster recovery plans.
  • Participates in project meetings supporting business objectives.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
