About The Position

Tomo is a digital mortgage company focused on making homebuying more affordable by eliminating greed and complexity in lending through an AI-driven customer experience. The Systematic Capital Markets Analyst will support and eventually drive automation and systemization in pricing, loan product creation, and investor relations with correspondent banks. This role offers mentorship and training from a seasoned executive in housing finance.

Requirements

• Systems Thinker: Automates tasks and finds ways to make processes faster and more profitable.
• Technical Toolkit: Comfortable with Python and SQL or another programming language.
• Experimenting with AI-based automations (like Gemini or Claude) to enhance output.
• Bias toward action and resourceful problem-solving ("Scrappy" Factor).
• Detail-Oriented: Understands the financial consequences of work and double-checks calculations.
• Naturally Curious: Eager to learn and understand business operations.
• 0-2 years of experience.
• Ready to hit the ground running.

Nice To Haves

• A quantitative degree mixed with a qualitative minor.
• A solid foundation in Finance or Economics.
• Previous experience in a role where business meets tech.
• Comfortable translating goals into technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Improve efficiency and accuracy in lock workflows to ensure sales and customer requests are fulfilled in a timely manner.
• Build tools to enable the company to "Watch the money" by ensuring loans meet revenue requirements and investors price loans properly.
• Lead quantitative projects to better understand and monetize the business.
• Work on systems for MBS and whole loan trading.
