About The Position

The Capital Markets Analyst supports the execution and processing of multifamily commercial loan transactions across a broad range of capital sources, including Agency lenders (Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac), banks, life insurance companies, debt funds, and CMBS lenders. This role plays a key part in coordinating underwriting, due diligence, lender communications, and closing activities for acquisition, refinance, supplemental, and portfolio financing transactions. The Analyst works closely with cross‑functional internal teams—including accounting, investor relations, asset management, property management, construction management, risk management, and systems support—to ensure transactions progress efficiently and accurately from origination through closing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, business, accounting, or a related field required
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to work with sensitive and confidential financial information in business or financial analysis environments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Comfort using MS Copilot or other AI tools to support research, analysis, and process automation
  • Ability to understand and analyze income statements, balance sheets, budgets, and rent rolls
  • Self‑starter with the ability to anticipate transaction needs, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated professionalism, discretion, and commitment to confidentiality
  • Willingness to learn lender‑specific requirements, loan structures, and capital markets terminology

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with, or willingness to learn, project management tools such as Asana
  • Prior experience in commercial real estate finance, capital markets, loan processing, asset management, or property operations is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Support the underwriting and execution of multifamily loan transactions across multiple lender types
  • Coordinate due diligence materials and lender requirements throughout the transaction lifecycle
  • Assist with lender communications and closing deliverables
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather and validate financial, operational, and property‑level information
  • Track transaction milestones, timelines, and documentation in a deadline‑driven environment
