About The Position

Rambus is seeking a System Validation Engineer to join its Memory Interface Chip business unit. This full-time position involves working in a lab to validate server systems, automate data collection, develop validation environments, and check system performance and compliance with specifications. The role offers experience with processor-memory interfaces, including DDR topologies and protocols, and high-speed signaling, including signal integrity and power integrity concepts.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Ability to learn quickly and interest in hands-on lab/system work and writing scripts for lab automation.
Ability to work as a team player with lab engineers and circuit designers.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of processor and memory system architecture.
Experience with Python, C, or C++.
Understanding of high-speed interface concepts, including signal integrity.
Working knowledge of test and measurement equipment, troubleshooting, and debugging.
Hands-on hardware experience with x86 computer systems, Intel Server platforms, and/or AMD Server platforms.
Experience in one of the following areas: x86 CPU BIOS, ARM Firmware, DDR Memory, or Lab Bench Testing.

Responsibilities

Bring up and validate X86-based server systems and high-speed memory buffer semiconductor products.
Develop scripts to automate lab equipment and analyze lab data.
Support the Applications Team in understanding and resolving customer issues.
