About The Position

Rambus is seeking a System Validation Engineer to join its Memory Interface Chip business unit. This full-time role focuses on hands-on lab work to execute server system validation, automate data collection, develop validation environments, and assess system performance and compliance with specifications. The position offers experience with processor-memory interfaces, including DDR topologies and protocols, and high-speed signaling concepts such as signal integrity and power integrity.

Requirements

B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Be a fast learner with an interest in hands-on laboratory and system work and writing scripts for lab automation.
Be a team player who works well with other lab engineers and circuit designers.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of processor and memory system architecture.
Experience with Python or C/C++ programming.
Understanding of high-speed interface concepts, including signal integrity.
Working knowledge of test and measurement equipment, troubleshooting, and debugging.
Hands-on hardware experience with x86 computer systems, Intel server platforms, and/or AMD server platforms.
Experience in at least one of the following: x86 CPU BIOS, ARM firmware, DDR memory, or lab bench testing.

Responsibilities

Bring up and validate X86-based server systems and high-speed memory buffer semiconductor products.
Develop scripts to automate lab equipment and analyze laboratory data.
Support the Applications Team in understanding and resolving customer issues.
