About The Position

When a user tries new software, they expect it to be intuitive and run smoothly. Functionality, reliability, and user experience are key to successful software development—and that means rigorous testing. That’s why we need you, an experienced test engineer who knows how to thoroughly test software and work with developers to make sure our team releases the best software possible. As a System Test Engineer on our team, you’ll use your experience to work with developers, requirements management, and end users to evaluate software developed for the government. You’ll automate continuous security and performance testing and monitor the health of our cloud-based systems. This is an opportunity to supercharge your skills by writing the code to test. You’ll also broaden your experience in cloud development and gain skills in new areas such as automation, cloud computing, and machine learning while sharing your testing experience with your team. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with software development methodologies and processes
  • 5+ years of experience with functional testing
  • 4+ years of experience with test plan and test report writing
  • Experience creating automated test scripts
  • Experience with Agile and Scrum development methodologies
  • Knowledge of the software development lifecycle
  • Ability to assess and comprehend system and functional requirements, write and maintain technical documents, and troubleshoot and debug
  • Ability to be a team player, comprehend a workflow, and drive collaborative efforts to improve product quality
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Experience with automated test tools to test Web-based applications
  • Experience using GitLab
  • Experience with software development
  • Ability to develop Requirements Verification Traceability Matrix (RVTMs)

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop moderately complex test programs, processes, and systems to measure the functionality and integrity of products and services.
  • Design and build moderately complex test stations.
  • Write moderately complex test procedures and protocols to assess product reliability and evaluate the ability of products to meet performance standards and specifications.
  • Gather test data and evaluate the results of tests to determine if product designs and architecture meet customer specifications and performance expectations.
  • Develop moderately complex test simulations to evaluate how products react under different conditions and analyze product failure to assess the integrity and reliability of product performance.
  • Debug moderately complex test hardware and software.
  • Analyze test cases and scenarios and report results.
  • Collaborate with other engineering groups to improve or upgrade product performance.
