About The Position

Zoox is seeking a highly motivated System Test Engineer to be a technical contributor supporting the System Integration and Validation team. You will be leading the integration and validation of autonomy, robotics, and autonomous behaviors to ensure the product meets safety, customer needs, and milestone readiness. You will be responsible for designing and developing test efforts at the highest level of integration, including feature validation, functional, and regression testing, toward the successful execution and reporting of these efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor <p>The System Test Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, and execution of system-level tests for autonomous vehicles. This includes feature validation, functional testing, and regression testing. The role will focus on automating tests using internal Hardware in the Loop (HIL) and Software in the Loop (SIL) assets. The engineer will also analyze vehicle logs and test data to identify root causes of failures and support the defect management process. Collaboration with other teams and reporting on milestone readiness through data analysis and metrics collection are key aspects of this position.</p> <p>The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related STEM field, with at least 3 years of industry experience in testing complex systems such as autonomy, robotics, and autonomous behaviors. Proficiency in software development with high-level languages like Python, Pytest, and REST API, as well as experience with version control systems like Git, is required. Integrated systems troubleshooting experience is also essential.</p> <p>Bonus qualifications include experience with Hardware in the Loop (HIL) and/or Software in the Loop (SIL), familiarity with issue reporting tools like Jira or Azure Dev Ops, and experience with Linux and Unix-based systems.</p> <p>Zoox offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $153,000 - $209,000 per year, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. A sign-on bonus may also be offered.
