About The Position

Quecon, Inc. is seeking System Test Engineers to support the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) mission by providing highly qualified, professional, and technical resources. The role involves assisting with test-related activities such as front-end, back-end, performance, risk-reduction, and regression testing of various software or hardware components of FAA's Air Traffic Control (ATC) Systems. This position requires interaction with other System Test Specialists, Software Engineers, System Engineers, and FAA Customers. The selected applicant will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for a Position of Public Trust. The reporting facility is the William J. Hughes Technical Center (WJHTC) in Pomona, NJ. The position requires the candidate to be a US citizen or 3-year permanent resident.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience or a Masters in Engineering and 2 years of relevant experience.
Experience with LINUX/UNIX operating environment.
Ability to perform execution of engineering tasks in support of system integration, operational readiness, deployment and sustainment activities.
Experience in testing and system validation.
Ability to interpret system requirements, interface specifications, and configuration documentation.
Proficient in command line tools for file and directory management, process monitoring, and basic troubleshooting.
Experience executing supporting scripts, batch processes.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work as a team and/or independently under general guidelines or objective.
Must be a US citizen or 3-year permanent resident.

Responsibilities

Perform a variety of duties to support the FAA customer in achieving both their short- and long-term goals.
Assist with test-related activities such as front-end, back-end, performance, risk-reduction and regression testing of various software or hardware components of FAA's Air Traffic Control (ATC) Systems.
Conduct tests to use in evaluating, debugging, and checking equipment and systems for accurate and dependable conformance specifications.
Perform execution of engineering tasks in support of system integration, operational readiness, deployment and sustainment activities.
Execute supporting scripts and batch processes.
