About The Position
The following statements reflect the general duties considered necessary to describe the principal functions of the job as identified and shall not be considered as a detailed description of all the work requirements, which may be inherent in the position. Flexible hours with weekend call required. Must have thorough knowledge of surgical instruments and sterilization process.
Requirements
- Previous Sterile Processing experience with supply management experience
- Certifications for Central Supply Processing Technician or Central Service Technician required or able to obtain within one year- CBSPD or CRCST
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of instrumentation and supply management
- Proficient in planning, organizing and time management
- Detail oriented
- Able to tolerate emotional and mental stress
- Able to maintain good rapport with and collaborate with all departments
- Has good computer skills
- Previous experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Must have passed or complete within two years the CHL (Certified Healthcare Leader for sterile processing management) certification exam
- Thorough knowledge of surgical instruments and sterilization process
