About The Position

Provide hardware support as needed and maintain/improve the caliber of the Information Systems (IS) department as directed by the IS Manager. This role is responsible for administering Manufacturing software packages on the Company network, installing all updates, and performing administrative tasks within the manufacturing database. The System Specialist will manage over 100 PC user interfaces, Web integration, and development of Windows Server networks. They will configure Company personal computers per Corporate requirements, install and maintain software as directed, and troubleshoot and repair network wiring/connections and Company personal computers as needed. This role also involves upgrading systems and correcting errors to maintain systems after implementation, and being on-call for systems being down and mission critical events. Some travel may be required. The System Specialist will perform other work-related duties as assigned by the IS Manager.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent GED from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in hardware troubleshooting, MIS, or related roles.
  • Experience with Windows operating systems.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills that extends to all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to protect confidential information and maintain positive working relationships with diverse employee groups and external customers.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related IT field from an accredited institution.
  • Training certificate or license in hardware troubleshooting.

Responsibilities
