About The Position

As a Systems Specialist at Omnidian, you will be an essential part of our IT team, responsible for supporting and maintaining our global IT infrastructure. You’ll be the primary point of contact for our team members when they need technical help, ensuring everyone has the tools they need to succeed in our mission to protect the planet. Reporting to IT leadership, you will manage daily operations like hardware setups and software troubleshooting while gaining hands-on experience with high-level infrastructure projects.

Requirements

  • 2+ years in IT support, system administration, or a related field.
  • Experience working with colleagues across multiple countries
  • Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting both Mac and Windows systems.
  • Familiarity with ITIL lifecycle stages (Incident, Problem, and Change Management).
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging AI platforms (Gemini, Claude AI, etc.)
  • Experience with Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Azure.
  • Familiarity with VOIP, Enterprise Malware, CRM Platforms, and MDM solutions.
  • Understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, firewalls).
  • Experience with VPN technologies and client configuration.

Nice To Haves

  • Proven experience leveraging AI tools (e.g., Gemini, Claude AI, ChatGPT) to synthesize logs, troubleshoot complex OS issues, or draft technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with managing cloud service providers (AWS, GCP, or Azure) beyond simple user administration.
  • Experience building or maintaining workflows in tools like Make, Zapier, or Power Automate to bridge data between SaaS platforms.
  • Participation in security remediation tasks or internal readiness for audits like SOC2 or ISO 27001.
  • Experience assisting in the rollout of enterprise-wide software, such as an IDP (Okta/JumpCloud), MDM, or a CRM like Salesforce.
  • Foundational knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, DNS) and identity architecture (SAML, SCIM, OIDC).
  • Actively pursuing or holding certifications that align with our stack, such as ITIL 4 Foundation, CompTIA Network+, or Security+.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day support for end-user Windows and Mac workstations, office software, and licensing.
  • Respond to global service desk tickets and deliver timely resolutions to technical issues.
  • Manage user account provisioning and permissions across various systems.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of all IT assets and software licenses.
  • Support employee onboarding/offboarding for a global remote staff.
  • Act as a key contributor to the team Knowledge Base by developing help articles and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in real-time as new issues are encountered and new systems are deployed.
  • Execute technical tasks for infrastructure projects (e.g., OS version deployments, configuration updates) under senior guidance.
  • Assist in the rollout of new 2026 initiatives, including IDP solutions, new MDM platforms, and ITAM solutions.
  • Use in-depth tool knowledge to determine the right technical solutions for departmental needs.
  • Contribute to technical aspects of IT initiatives and user "How-To" guides during the deployment of new systems.
  • Partner with the Information Security Team and senior IT staff to swiftly execute tasks required to remediate security findings and vulnerabilities.
  • Operate within the ITIL framework for service delivery, following a disciplined approach to incident, request, and change management.
  • Maintain a rigorous focus on proper Change Management procedures; demonstrate a deep understanding of the potential impact of infrastructure changes before execution to ensure minimal business disruption.
  • Leverage AI tools including Gemini, Claude AI to troubleshoot complex technical issues, synthesize logs, and analyze technical data.
  • Use Generative AI as a partner to rapidly draft, fine-tune, and standardize SOPs and knowledge base documentation.
