We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Networking Solution Testing Manager to lead our testing efforts for networking solutions, including traditional and modern Layer 2/3 architectures. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, a deep understanding of networking protocols and architectures, and proven leadership capabilities. This role involves developing comprehensive testing strategies, collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing customer escalations, and driving continuous improvements to ensure the delivery of high-quality networking solutions that meet customer needs and industry standards. This role requires being on site in Roseville, California 2+ days a week

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Networking, or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience (including 2+ years of people management experience) in the networking industry, focusing on solution validation, testing, or related roles.
  • Proven experience in networking automation or software quality assurance related to data center architectures.
  • Strong background in testing or configuring traditional and modern L2/L3 network architectures utilizing BGP, OSPF, VXLAN/EVPN, security policies.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud management workflows and cloud environments.
  • Expertise in UNIX/Linux environments, including Bash/Unix Shell Scripting.
  • In-depth knowledge of network protocols such as EVPN, Microsegmentation, IPv6, multicast, telemetry, and YANG models.
  • Experience working with network automation and AI-driven tools to enhance testing and operations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management of technical teams, with a strong track record of team development, coaching, team-building, conflict resolution, and performance management.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively conveying complex technical information to diverse audiences and stakeholders, including cross-functional collaboration with development, product management, and customer support teams.
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in fast-paced environments, supported by advanced project management skills such as time and risk management, resource allocation, and project structuring.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving process improvements and implementing best practices in testing and quality assurance.
  • Effective negotiation, presentation, and influence skills, combined with strong written and verbal communication capabilities.
  • Highly skilled in multi-tasking, prioritization, and managing competing demands to ensure project success and organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of networking test engineers, setting clear priorities aligned with organizational goals.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive testing strategies for networking solutions, including traditional and modern Layer 2/3 architectures.
  • Drive testing efforts involving protocols such as BGP, OSPF, VXLAN/EVPN, multicast, IPv6, and security policies.
  • Coordinate network automation and AI-driven testing tools to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
  • Collaborate with development, product management, and cloud teams to define testing requirements and ensure high-quality releases.
  • Document issues thoroughly, including reproduction steps and desired behavior, and work with cross-functional teams to resolve bugs and improve product stability.
  • Assist in diagnosing and resolving escalated incidents for high-profile customers, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, self-service support, and documentation enhancements to empower customers and streamline support processes.
  • Stay current with emerging networking technologies, automation frameworks, and industry best practices.
