About The Position

This role involves computer software development, modification, and maintenance, with a focus on government IT projects and Water Quality/Safety Information Systems. The programmer will be responsible for building and optimizing SQL statements and stored procedures, and will require working knowledge of ASP.NET, .NET, C#, HTML, and CSS.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8 years of experience with government IT projects as a software developer, software engineer, or related field.
• 8 years of experience building and optimizing SQL statements and stored procedures.
• 3 years of experience supporting Water Quality/Safety Information Systems, preferably in a government setting.
• Working knowledge of ASP.NET, .NET, C#, HTML, and CSS.

Nice To Haves

• Experience implementing, configuring, and supporting SDWIS, Water Quality Exchange (WQX), SWIFT, and DW–SFTIES.
• Experience with Apache Tomcat and Java.
• Experience working or collaborating with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
• Experience using service/help desk ticket platforms and Microsoft Office products.
