About The Position

We are seeking a System Software Engineer with strong knowledge of RF design and SW integration. The ideal candidate will have experience leading teams, be well-organized, and possess knowledge of DO 254 (exposure only), DO-178C, and DO160G (EMI). This role requires experience with SW Requirements Development and strong proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, and Assembly. Experience working in DAL A software development, Code Review, and software development tools, version control systems, and continuous integration/deployment pipelines is essential. A solid understanding of software development best practices, design patterns, and architecture principles is also required. The position involves working with various application areas supporting Avionics functions, Navigation, and Airborne Surveillance (TCAS, Transponder, ADS-B, DME, UAT). The ability to manage project risks and implement mitigation strategies effectively is crucial. Experience in preparing Planning Documentation & Cert Doc is necessary. Experience working with Defense Customers is preferred. Flight test experience, including understanding wiring diagrams for aircraft and how different systems interact, is valuable. Familiarity with engineering tools (montpa, x-scribe, managing and developing other tools), Jira, Bitbucket, and understanding build processes/compiler settings is also important. The role includes Systems Documentation development and systems testing, maintaining lab hardware/builds, checking equipment calibration dates, and general lab experience. Experience with formation positioning systems, systems engineering with a hardware focus, system test/hardware test, test equipment knowledge, and understanding the certification process are also key aspects of this position.
