This role requires strong knowledge of RF design and SW integration, with experience in leading teams and being well-organized. The position involves exposure to DO 254, DO-178C, and DO-160G (EMI). Experience with SW Requirements Development is essential, along with strong proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, and Assembly. The role also requires experience working in DAL A software development and conducting Code Reviews. Familiarity with software development tools, version control systems, and continuous integration/deployment pipelines is necessary. A solid understanding of software development best practices, design patterns, and architecture principles is expected. Experience with various application areas supporting Avionics functions, Navigation, and Airborne Surveillance (TCAS, Transponder, ADS-B, DME, UAT) is crucial. The ability to manage project risks and implement mitigation strategies effectively is also a key aspect of this position. Experience in preparing Planning Documentation & Cert Doc is required. Experience working with Defense Customers is preferred. Flight test experience, including understanding wiring diagrams for aircraft and system inputs, engineering tools (montpa, x-scribe, managing and developing other tools), Jira, Bitbucket, and understanding build processes/compiler settings, is valuable. Responsibilities also include Systems Documentation development and systems testing, maintaining lab hardware/builds, configuration, checking calibration dates on equipment, and general lab experience. Experience with formation positioning systems, systems engineering with a hardware focus, system test/hardware test experience, test equipment knowledge, and understanding the certification process are also relevant. This role involves requirements, planning documents, verification testing, coordination with customers/customer process compliance, leadership skills, being self-driven/motivated with a continuous learning mindset, audits, troubleshooting, experience working with ISC/quality/shipping and receiving, electronics knowledge, and lab/test experience. Customer and FAA interface, understanding of safety, and aircraft interface/installation are also important. Familiarity with SSA, FHA, SRTM, other sys docs, TSO deviations, Frequency Approval efforts, system integration, and MOPS is beneficial.
