About The Position

The System/Network Administrator supports the operation, maintenance, and reliability of IT infrastructure. The role ensures enterprise systems and networks perform reliably, provides technical support to users, and resolves issues affecting business operations. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with strong technical expertise, a customer-focused mindset, and a commitment to maintaining secure, high-performing technology environments.

This position supports mission-critical systems at WOOD Federal Solutions, a mission-focused federal contractor supporting complex national security and government programs. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and possess an active TS/SCI security clearance with a polygraph. The position is full-time, onsite in Laurel, Maryland, and works a day shift. Salary is $75,000 to $90,000 per year; starting salary is based on minimum education and years of experience and increases based on education and/or experience.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance with a polygraph.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university, or five years of SA experience as a substitute.
• No demonstrated experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems.
• Manage the daily activities of IT system configuration and operation.
• Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
• Assist users in accessing and using IT systems.
