The System Interpreter Services Coordinator oversees the organization's interpreter services program, ensuring Limited English Proficient (LEP) and deaf or hard-of-hearing patients receive communication support in compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and federal law. This position manages interpreter services across all hospital campuses and affiliated sites, including scheduling, vendor coordination, quality monitoring, compliance, reporting, and staff education. The Coordinator partners with internal teams and external agencies to ensure timely, high-quality language access services, develops policies and training related to culturally competent care, and monitors program effectiveness through data analysis and continuous improvement initiatives. Reporting to the Director of Organizational Learning/Patient Experience, the Coordinator serves as a key member of the Patient Experience team, collaborating with staff, leadership, patients, families, and vendors. When needed, the Coordinator also provides Spanish interpretation and translation support, assists with patient communications, coordinates translation of written materials, manages vendor invoices, and supports resolution of patient concerns related to interpreter services.
