About The Position

BAE Systems is seeking an experienced Systems Integrator to support our work as a prime contractor on a high-profile U.S. Navy weapon system. This position is for individuals that are self-starters, who take the initiative, and enjoy engaging with people. The person best fit for this job will enjoy doing a mix of technical work, project management work, and customer engagement. The System Integrator will configure software applications and systems, develop technical documentation, and drive integration efforts across complex environments. You will work directly with government partners and ensure systems are integrated, tested, and maintained to the highest standards of security and performance.

Requirements

Demonstrated experience configuring software applications and enterprise-level systems.
Proficiency drafting technical documentation including designs, instructions, integration plans, and test procedures.
Ability to evaluate complex IT activities, assess product upgrades, and research emerging systems technologies.
Knowledge of software configuration management processes and best practices.
Strong understanding of software/application/system integration processes and testing methodologies.
Interpersonal Skills
Proven experience establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with partners and government officials.
Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative environment with your colleagues
An active DoW Secret Security Clearance; ability to obtain and maintain a DoW Top Secret Clearance
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field with six (3) years of relevant work experience, or equivalent experience
An IAT II certification as specified in the DoD 8570
Or, have a SECNAV 5239 qualifying degree AND meet the requirements for an IAT II as specified in the DoD 8570 within 6 months of start date
Ability to obtain and maintain Common Access Card (CAC), badge access to the customer’s facility, and a SSP network account in good standing.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or Computer Science
Background in IT including a solid understanding of computer networks and IT systems architecture
CompTIA Security+ CE certification
Experience applying DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
Experience with VMware vSphere/vCenter 6.5 or later
Experience writing PowerShell scripts
Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7 or later administration experience

Responsibilities

Configure and manage software applications and systems within Department of War (DoW) environments
Draft technical instructions, system designs, integration plans, integration reports, and test procedures
Evaluate complex technical activities, assess products, and upgrades; and research current systems technologies
Apply software configuration management processes to maintain system integrity and traceability
Execute software, application, and system integration processes and testing activities
Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with internal teams, partners, and government officials
Contribute to the ongoing improvement of integration methodologies and best practices
