Ready to join a mission that matters? The future of cybersecurity starts with you. About the Role: CrowdStrike is seeking an experienced Engineer I to join our Systems Integration team. In an effort to reduce the threat of hardware assets being compromised: the Systems Integration Facility is responsible for the sanitization and burn-in of computer equipment prior to the distribution to our Data Centers and POPs. The ideal candidate should have a background working in a data center or integration facility operation, have an understanding of hardware concepts and is motivated to learn in our fast-paced environment. This role will be focused on our incoming quality control and full rack integration efforts.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience preferred with direct experience managing servers and/or data centers to support business goals.
  • Familiar with copper and optical cabling.
  • Understand power cabling.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lb.
  • Familiar with command line interfaces.
  • Familiar with server, storage, internet technologies.
  • Ability to communicate technical detail into succinct and fact-based business terminology both verbally and in writing.
  • Customer-focused mindset, with demonstrated skill in managing expectations and providing proactive status updates.
  • Ability to use independent judgment to make sound, justifiable decisions and take action to solve problems.
  • Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble equipment using manufacturing documentation and engineering specifications.
  • Utilize appropriate tools to install, configure and test equipment and components.
  • Perform hardware inspection according to the company’s security inspection procedures.
  • Perform packaging and shipping of tested and/or integrated equipment.
  • Examine and test equipment at various stages in order to identify errors.
  • Install hardware into test stands and integrate into production server cabinets.
  • Advise Material Handlers to pick up and deliver equipment for testing and integration as needed.
  • Escalate issues to Facility Manager as needed.
  • Documenting process and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as needed or assigned.
