About The Position

SAIC is looking for a System Integration Associate to support both existing and new programs. This position will be located in Panama City Beach, Florida. The System Integration Associate is responsible for but not limited to the following: • Maintenance of marine outboard engines and testing environment. • Supports fabrication of production components including welding, basic machining, assembly, and packaging. • Supports fleet installation of various modification packages at various locations. Intermittent travel will be required. • Learns new skills rapidly. • Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering, welding/fitting, machining, on assembly units. • Follows quality policy and ensures all work meets required standards. • Makes setups and adjustments to keep tolerances within specifications. • Set up and operate a variety of machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, planers, and precision grinders to make metal parts, mechanisms, tools, or machines to exact tolerances and dimensions. • Interprets drawings, sketches, and engineering specifications; determines sequence of operations for fabrication; uses a variety of machinist's hand tools and precision measuring instruments; makes standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, feeds, and speeds; measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and reference points to lay out stock for machining; fits and assembles precision parts into mechanical equipment and determines material, parts, and equipment required. • Some machines may be numerically controlled. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
