As a System Engineering Program Manager for Apple Watch, you will be responsible for managing engineering development for our future generations. You will use your program management skills, imagination, creativity to lead these exciting programs forward! This individual contributor role will have significant responsibilities in making decisions, collaborating with multi-functional teams, vendors and suppliers around the globe during the entire development cycle.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of program management experience for Hardware products
  • Proficient in English and Mandarin both in oral and written
  • Proved experience to effectively coordinate cross-functional technical collaborations, multi-tasking management
  • Detail oriented
  • Flexible to travel to US and Asia Pacific to support engineering project
  • Excellent consolidation, communication and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated and proactive, who can demonstrate creativities and critical thinking capabilities
  • Able to collaborate with multi-functional team to achieve project goals
  • Understand and deals well with rapid development cycles and constant changes; Be passion and creative, remains flexible and calm in the face of uncertainty
  • Ability to leverage AI writing tools to efficiently produce engineering reports, issue logs, and executive summaries.
  • Ability to apply AI tools for scenario planning and contingency assessment

Nice To Haves

  • Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/RF is preferred.
  • Relevant NPI experience or engineering development experiences is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Manage and build CM engineering team to provide qualified engineering project management
  • Lead cross-functional communications between Apple Internal project teams and external vendors
  • Planning and execution of build events, including material planning, factory readiness
  • Work with internal and vendors to define build plan, track, communicate and escalate as appropriate
  • Enable the development efforts by creating and monitoring an efficient streamlined process between Apple teams and external vendors
  • Provide timely issue resolution and critical path/risk assessment management
  • Facilitate good communication and offer multiple levels of status across a wide spectrum of individual contributors to executive management.
  • Drive day-to-day Engineering build activities at vendor’s factory to meet overall program objectives.
