About The Position

Datum Technologies Group Government Solutions is seeking an experienced System Engineer to join their team supporting a United States Air Force (AF) Client customer at Langley AFB in Hampton, VA. The candidate will perform a full range of system engineering services related to IT system upgrades. This role requires a highly motivated, energetic, self-starter.

Requirements

3+ years of experience in a management role with hands-on interaction with external vendors and customers.
Proficiency with cloud environments within the last 5 years; OR a minimum of 4 years demonstrated experience with computer networks; OR a minimum of 4 years demonstrated experience administering endpoint systems (client systems, servers, etc.).
3+ years system engineering experience in an IT-related field.
CompTIA Security+ certification.
Active U.S. citizenship.
Current TOP SECRET Security Clearance prior to beginning work.

Nice To Haves

VMWare VCP certification.
CCNP certification.
Microsoft Project and Visio experience.
Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility (or ability to obtain clearance upgrade from SECRET to TS).

Responsibilities

Develop and manage project artifacts such as bill of materials.
Assist in the creation of project schedules.
Create technical diagrams such as network topologies, hardware/software inventories, or rack elevations in support of project management.
Support the Change Management business process, including attending Change Review Board (CRB) meetings, performing engineering analysis on change requests, and maintaining configuration managed items.
Support the resource advisor with the development of a five-year spend plan, yearly budget, and purchase requests.
Assist unit leadership with the validation of new customer requirements and engineering of new technical solutions.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Datum project lead.
