About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled System Engineer with an active TS/SCI clearance and Full Scope Polygraph to join our team. The role involves configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Linux and Windows operating systems, installing and maintaining operating system software, and configuring network components. You will enhance operating system reliability and performance, provide support for IT system implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance, and manage IT system infrastructure. This position requires day-to-day operations support, monitoring, and problem resolution for various devices including client/server, storage, network devices, and mobile devices. You will also support the dispatch system and hardware issues, optimize system operations, and perform capacity planning. Analyzing and resolving complex server hardware, application, and software integration issues is a key part of this role. Demonstrated experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts is required, along with proficiency in troubleshooting in a Linux Red Hat environment and extensive experience with VMWare. Experience with modern automation/configuration tools such as Splunk or Ansible is also necessary, along with STE/STN compliance and mitigation.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI w/ Full Scope Polygraph Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required)
  • Minimum of Twenty (20) years’ experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.
  • Demonstrated experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts is required.
  • Proficient with troubleshooting in a Linux Red Hat environment.
  • Extensive experience with VMWare
  • Demonstrated experience with modern automation/configuration tools such as Splunk or Ansible
  • STE/STN compliance and mitigation.

Nice To Haves

  • Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree

Responsibilities

  • Configure, manage and troubleshoot Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Install/load operating system software, troubleshoot and maintain integrity and configures network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
  • Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems.
  • Manage IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems.
  • Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
  • Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and will remain involved in the resolution process.
  • Optimize system operations and resource utilization and perform system capacity analysis and planning.
  • Analyze and resolve complex problems associated with server hardware, applications and software integration.
