About The Position

CIO Technology Solutions is a managed IT services provider based in Tampa. Since 2010, we have supported businesses across Tampa Bay in healthcare, legal, financial services, construction, manufacturing, and other industries. We are a team of about two dozen people. Our clients know our owners, and our engineers know our clients. We value strong technical skills, clear communication, accountability, and finding better ways to get things done. The Role We are adding a Systems Engineer to our Professional Services team. You will handle escalated technical work and project delivery across our client base, working alongside our senior engineers. This is a hands-on role. You may build Intune policies, write PowerShell, troubleshoot a failed Veeam backup, configure network infrastructure, or walk a client through a technical change in plain English. If you like automating something after you have fixed it manually, you will fit in well here.

Requirements

4+ years of professional IT experience, including 2+ years in an MSP engineering role.
Strong PowerShell skills, including the ability to write scripts from scratch.
Production experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, and Azure.
Experience with NinjaOne RMM.
Experience with Veeam Backup & Replication.
Strong networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, firewall rules, and VPNs.
Experience with ConnectWise Manage.
Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work through complex technical problems.
Clear communication skills with both technical and non-technical users.
Ability to manage multiple client environments and priorities.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Barracuda firewall experience.
Cisco switching experience.
Experience with Huntress, Duo, DNSFilter, or IT Glue.
Microsoft certifications such as AZ-104, MD-102, or MS-102.
CompTIA or Veeam certifications.

Responsibilities

Administer Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and Intune across multiple client environments, including Conditional Access, Autopilot, and Entra ID join projects.
Build and support Azure infrastructure, including virtual machines, networking, and site-to-site VPNs.
Write PowerShell scripts to automate repetitive tasks and improve efficiency.
Manage patching, monitoring, scripting, and automation through NinjaOne RMM.
Deploy, monitor, troubleshoot, and restore Veeam backups.
Configure and troubleshoot firewalls, switches, VLANs, routing, and VPNs.
Work escalated technical issues and client projects through ConnectWise Manage.
Maintain clear and accurate technical documentation in IT Glue.
Assist and coach Service Desk technicians on complex technical issues.
Participate in the on-call rotation.
