About The Position

Seeking a System Engineer to analyze user requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications. The role involves analyzing system requirements, leading design and development activities, guiding users in formulating requirements, advising on alternative approaches, and conducting feasibility studies. The System Engineer will provide technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology, and incorporate new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations. This position also requires developing technical documentation and system architecture/design documentation, guiding system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans. The role involves interacting with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and associated problems, issues, or conflicts, and assuming ultimate responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area. Communication with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives is essential. The System Engineer will manage system requirements and derived requirements to ensure the delivery of production systems compatible with defined system architectures (e.g., DoDAF, SOA). This includes contributing to systems engineering documentation (System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements specifications, Interface Control Documents) and assisting with the development and allocation of system and functional requirements to hardware, software, facility, and personnel components. The role also involves coordinating the resolution of action items from CCB meetings, design reviews, program reviews, and test reviews requiring cross-discipline coordination.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
  • IAT Level 1 8570 Compliant Certification is Required
  • Possession of an IAT Level 1 8570 certification is required and will be verified as part of the interview or offer process.
  • TS/SCI w/full scope polygraph is required

  • Assist with the development of system requirements, functional requirements, and allocation of the same to individual hardware, software, facility, and personnel components
  • Coordinate the resolution of action items from Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings, design reviews, program reviews, and test reviews that require cross-discipline coordination
