About The Position

The Integrated Test Force at Edwards AFB, CA is seeking a Discipline Engineer to support current mission planning tasking and expand the capabilities for F-35 Developmental Test. Candidate will work directly with the flight test team, pilots, and the various IPTs to plan, execute, and analyze flight test events that validate the aircraft’s system design. Job entails monitoring and troubleshooting anomalies in real time, support root cause analysis for off nominal events and generate corrective action recommendations. Candidate will provide technical support to test pilots, flight test crews, and maintenance personnel, as needed. Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related STEM discipline.
• Demonstrated application of MATLab, Python, or Simulink
• Demonstrated application in statics, dynamics, fluid mechanics, or aerodynamics
• Experience supporting Flight Test
• Must be a U.S. Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance.
• This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with IADS real time
• Strong analytical/problem solving ability under time-critical conditions.
• Understanding of aircraft post flight test data requests and analysis
• Collaborative mindset; able to work in multidisciplinary, multi-agency teams.
• Experience interfacing with DoD Customers and suppliers.
