About The Position

The System Engineer will support the Software Management Team. The ideal candidate will analyze user requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications. They will analyze system requirements and lead design and development activities. The role involves guiding users in formulating requirements, advising on alternative approaches, and conducting feasibility studies. The System Engineer will provide technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology, and incorporate new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations. This role also includes developing technical documentation, system architecture, and system design documentation. The candidate will guide system development and implementation planning through the assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans. They will interact with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and associated problems, issues, or conflicts. The ultimate responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility lies with this role. The System Engineer will communicate with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.

Requirements

  • Strong System Engineering background and experience.
  • IAT Level 2 Certification required at start date
  • At least fourteen (14) years experience in IT applications systems is required
  • A bachelor’s degree in a related discipline is required. Four (4) years of equivalent experience may be substituted for the bachelors degree for a total of eighteen (18) years of experience
